the proverbs 31 woman

i always pictured the proverbs 31 woman

wearing a long skirt and a blouse,

cooking and cleaning the house.

lowered eyes and folded hands,

yielding to every command.

no matter how hard i tried,

this could never be me.

then one day i realized

what it truly means

to be clothed in strength & dignity.

Esther stood before a King,

risking everything.

Ruth crossed borders far from home,

venturing into the unknown.

Deborah led an entire nation

with wisdom and revelation.

Jael stood when others fled

and crushed oppression's head.

perhaps being a Proverbs 31 woman

isn't about making yourself small,

but is about being brave enough

to answer the Lord when He calls.
