Just because he is a man of God doesn’t mean he is your man of God. He can treat you in all the ways you always knew you deserved: bringing you flowers, speaking words of affirmation, and honoring you before others. 

Yet, sometimes you want different things in life, and that is okay. When you stay true to yourself and your values, one day, you will not only find a Godly relationship, but also a partner for life. A partner who supports your dreams and who aligns with your goals. And when you find that person, it will make sense why the relationship had to end. 

Sometimes people come into your life not to last forever, but to heal you. To teach you how to trust again, and show you that there are men who reflect God’s love, guard your heart, and never leave you questioning your worth. Who lead you closer to the Lord rather than into sin. 

Never settle because a God honoring relationship is worth the wait. If the wrong person for you can treat you so well, just think about the right person the Lord has in store for you.
